I Made Pasties
...both kinds. The edible one is a cheese pasty, a very tasty English pastry filled with cheese and very English sorts of veggies like turnips.
The wearable ones were made under the tutelage of a friend who has worn them professionally.

What kind of adhesive is used on the latter type of pasties? What kind of adhesive remover?
My, my, I am glad that you actually finished a fancy pair of pasties. They look quite fetching by the way. :) The other pastie looks nice too, nice and "ye olde timey."

Love those pasties...both types! The tatted lace is very elegant, especially in black.
Say, what college did you go to in Bennington? I lived and worked on campus at Bennington College from '84-'87 with my husband and our oldest son. Our youngest was born there, too, but we left soon after.

I think those are probably the most elegant pasties I've ever seen. I crocheted a set for a friend's 30th birthday. They were granny square-ish pasties.
